Shoot one conclusion

During the first shoot , i was making observations , on how each model reacted whilst gettin her photo taken without make up, it was really interesting to see how they acted, even though it was just me in the room, but it was the thought of my taking a photo that made them a bit uneasy.

I also asked each model to write down on a sticky note what would they change about themselves if they could - and the answers i got were pretty much what i had imagined them.

One particular model stood out to me than the others, Sophie Ewing, it was because she is a stunning girl, but she has very little confidence in the way she looks, maybe i could try and change this , by photographing her in a way to make her love her natural self?

i will be using Sophie as my main model from now on,

shoot #2 plan will be made

Shoot #1 - Tracey Greig

First model to shoot with, will mostly be using natural light for all my shoot #1 models, my goal is to generally do some test shots, but try to get the models to pose slightly , and also will be shooting them with and without make up, so i can see the difference in their appearance, and how they act towards the camera.

I have also picked out the photos i think are the best from about 100 photos that i have taken from each shoot, and show you the before and after photos, as i will be running some through an editing process.

Questionaire for models on self image

To help me get a better understanding of what women think of themselves and the way women are perceived , i had created this small questionnaire with a few questions, and will try and get them to fill it out as much as they can.

SHOOT #1
Full name:
Age:

Do you wear make-up every day?
Why do you wear it?

How does it make you feel when you wear it?

Has beauty advertising influenced yours decisions on the way you look and does it make you want to change yourself even more?

Do you think that in our society today there is a perception of what the “ideal” woman should look like? For example – women getting plastic surgery because they think it will make them perfect.

Should advertising portray real women, instead of the stereotypical slim perfect structured model? And why?

If you could change any part of your body, what would it be?
